Finally! Recognition at last for my supreme culinary skills! Well, not a gold award, or even silver or a bronze but… a Commendation from the Dalemain World Marmalade Championships! Which is like the Olympics for oranges. I entered a special batch of Seville Orange Marmalade made with Welsh honey and didn’t I do well? They said it was tasty and brightly coloured but a bit thick (I think they were referring to the marmalade).
So next year we try again but this time with honey from Marilyn’s bees guaranteeing a gold medal at least.
Next: it’s jam season! Can’t wait.
