Surviving the Winter

We’ve had a lot of snow here recently, about 8 inches, and we were unable to get the car out for several days. Luckily we had enough wood pellets to keep the boiler going, and plenty of cat food. It was reassuring to see that the bees were also surviving this wintry weather. The cluster of bees produced enough heat to melt the snow on the roof above them.

Now the snow is almost gone, the daffs are coming out and the garden is full birdsong. Spring is on the way!
