Baby bee
The bees at Plas Efenechtyd are doing well. We have been feeding them sugar syrup since they arrived and they have nearly doubled in number. Things are looking good for the winter and we’re hoping for honey next year. Last week ‘John the bees’ came to check them over and he marked the queen bee for us. When we were inspecting the hive, we watched a young bee emerge from its cell. You can see it circled in the photo above – it’s fluffier than the older bees.
