Clwydian Range Food Trail / Llwybr Bwyd Bryniau Clwyd

The Food Trail Coach Trip was very successful day! Over 30 local accommodation providers, representatives of tourist and rural development organisations and the Mayor of Ruthin had a lovely day on Friday (16th March) being shown round the soon to be launched Food Trail. This is an initiative created by and run by local food producers. It will showcase the high quality food being produced and sold in the Clwydian Range area.

Starting at Caffi Florence in Loggerheads, we headed over the hills to Rhesgoed Farm Shop then on to Ruthin (Eagle’s Bakery, W & G Jones Butchers, Leonardo’s Deli and Patchwork Pate) before a very exciting trip to Llaeth y Llan, the yogurt people, for a fabulous lunch. Then off to Denbigh (Dragon Bakery, J Williams Butchers, Mark’s Chocolate Shop) and finally back via the Old Forge Trout Farm to the Llandyrnog Creamery and home. Lots of tasting and talking and a little bit of walking.
